Start thinking Long Term

The majority of losing players only think as far as the next game or two, and they are in such a rush to play - they make short term decisions. Winning players look longer - they recognise that luck plays a big part short term - but over time better players will win. Badbeats whilst annoying at the time are inevitable - it is the decision making that is important.

If you keep putting your money in ahead of your opponents then in the long run you will beat them. So don't allow Bad beats to affect your decision making. But there is more to thinking longer term than just badbeats. Making Value bets, calling in positions where it is correct to Call - are all better selected with a long term view. You may get the decision wrong in that particular hand but that same decision in that scenario will be profitable over time - therefore make the decision. Choosing the levels you play and the speed to go up tables are again best chosen with a view to the longer term - winning more slowly but more regularly is usually a better method than having a gamble at higher levels
